January is for Art

January 2026

When the world is quiet and the animals are hibernating,
it’s up to you and me to bring colors to warm our sight and hearts.
The frost like tiny needles needs warming colors to melt it down to drip-drops and giggles
As a flame burns the wick, we wish for a flicker, a tickle of light to chase off the long, sleepy night.
A splash of joy! A sudden red wing! A blue jay who dances because dancings his thing.
We paint our canvases  with marvelous mess, bright bits of wonder that clean up the stress.
A tiny piece there! Now hangs on the wall,  a secret door to step through for a moment, away from it all.
